Durable and delightful driveways

A driveway is the first thing a person will see when visiting your home so it needs to look presentable. It must also be robust and hard-wearing to avoid sinking under heavy loads.

We incorporate a slight slope when installing driveways to allow room for water drainage. Another thing we take into consideration is the turning radius. The radius can be 15 feet in parking areas for midsize and small cars. However, curves on long driveways need a 50 feet radius to accommodate fire trucks.

Perfectly laid patios

A well-built patio will often require very little maintenance. We prefer using brick and stone pavers to concrete as they can handle freeze-cycles and provide a wear-resistant surface.

Materials we can create your patio from include:

Bricks: Bricks are usually available in different colours and patterns. As they are moulded from clay, the colour does not fade and requires little maintenance. Bricks have a slip-resistant surface and are durable.

Stones: Limestone, granite, and bluestone are widely used in paving. Installing stones is more expensive when compared to bricks and slabs, but they are also the most durable. Stones come in a variety of textures and colours to give your patio a visually pleasing look.

Concrete: Concrete paving is the least expensive option when compared to stones and bricks. It can be made in different colours, shapes, and styles to create a look that resemble stones and bricks at a more affordable cost.

Cost

Building a patio or driveway you love doesn’t have to be expensive, even when ‘going green’. While options like brick and stone pavers cost a little more than using concrete slabs, today there is a wider choice of environmentally friendly building materials to choose from that are less harmful than those available in the past.

Excluding the cost of concrete, there is little or no difference between installing a patio or driveway that is 'green' and installing one that isn’t.

Value

Assessing value and cost can be two very different things. Investing a little more thought and finances into a patio or driveway can end up costing you less in the long term.

For instance, green patios and driveways are more durable and require little maintenance as they are built with higher quality materials and higher standards. They also positively impact the environmental area around your home, by enabling better water drainage. The end result is a patio or driveway that’s guaranteed to last a lifetime.
